Of Notebooks and Recycled Materials

For this year I've changed my notebook thrice. I don't know if it's just me or others experienced this, but I have to find the suitable notebook for me. And until then I can write into it diligently. Or not? Haha. I have to find that "one" perfect notebook because it really serves a lot of purpose to me. You see, I only not write in it but I post and glued a lot of stuff there. Hence, this year I finally found the "one." I just a bit personality to it.

Notice the eyes I put there? Hahaha

And for some DIY storage kit. I actually need one of my growing rolls of ribbons, so I decided to craft one. An old shoe box turned to ribbon box.

I glued some pieces of origami paper because I find it boring if I just wrapped it to one.
Somewhat similar to decoupage. :)

Super proud now because I blogged often now. :) Yay!!

One Fine Sunday...

...Ate brought me to heaven. LOL. Well, not literally heaven per se but the feeling I felt at that time. Last Sunday while scouting for some stuff for my niece's birthday we stopped by to this quaint shop.

The Paper Market

Imagine me smiling from ear to ear as I entered the shop. Happiness is under statement I think. If you read my previous post, this blog is originally for my misadventure and paper craft pero hindi ko lang napanindigan. Haha! Paper Market really is really for those who have insatiable creative appetites. They almost have everything a crafter can wish for.

papers

Ah, look at those papers! Adorable...

I also love those paper gadgets. Feel na feel ko ang pagiging Martha Stewart. hehe.

But lo and behold...

I really took photo of this. But as I roamed around the shop I read that taking photos was strictly prohibited. Please forgive me, Paper Market. I am just excited and so happy! ^_^

Button Bookmarks!

Hey, it's been a long time since I last posted a DIY craft! Maybe I should rename my blog, I could change it to a DIY Bookmark nook since most of my DIY craft are bookmarks. LOL

Without much further ado, let's start crafting

What you will need:

Paper clips (bigger clip is much better)
buttons

buttons from Scrapbooking, ordinary buttons will work just the same

Paper clips. I hoard almost anything and it includes these clips.

You just glue-gunned the buttons in the top portion of the paper clips and voila, you have an instant bookmark!

Finish product!

trying my new found love. haha

Happy crafting! <3 <3 <3

All About Bookmarks!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love Christmas weather because it is colder in this time of the year. Plus everyone is ready to greet you with a big smile. But is it not better to treat everyday as Christmas? :)

And oh, another thing about this season is that it hones my sleeping creativity. Or may be I'm just stingy. LOL. But I always wanted to add something personal to my gifts. I wanted to wrap it myself, to choose every gift according to personalities of my my friends and family.

And let me share what I've done for my officemates this year. And you can guess it right. I've made lots of bookmarks again! This has been becoming an obsession.

First set of bookmarks given to my fellow writers and dear readers last PHR booksigning in SM Manila.

I bought a set of popsicle and decided to turn it into a bookmark.

I think this is a popsicle sticks.

For my bookmark design, I prepared my colorful designed papers All About Scrapbooking gave me on one of its event. :) Thank you, All About Scrapbooking!

I chose variety of beautiful designs!

I glued the popsicle stick into the paper and cut it.

My finish product with love!

This paper hoarder having the time of her life cutting paper! <3

And tada! My first batch of bookmarks!

And for my second batch of bookmarks! These are for my officemates!

Art Attack's colored sticks! Who would forget that big Art Attack, huh?

this is craft-love!

Add a little design on the top to achieve the funky look!

Buttons and large clips!

Bookbinder! :) Will blog about this cutie binder soon. ^_^

And these are all bookmarks! :)
