In My Memory (first edition): At Paradizoo

I neglect to account this adventure of mine last year it's because... Ahm, because.. Oh, never mind my reason! I'll just use my lamest possible excuse, I became busy. Anyway, this adventurer gladly wanted to scream: I've been to zoo last year! Yay! Well, I've been to zoo for business, we did my best friend's pre-nuptial photo shoot there. So, without further ado I would like to thank Paradizoo for letting us roam around and enjoy the rest of the day there. Thank you po! Though I know that this post is super late.

I've been to Paradizoo thrice. First one, was in 2010, unfortunately it was raining hard when I first went there. But despite the weather I enjoyed my visit there. Second visit was with my high school friends. We spent the rest of our afternoon there just taking a lot of photos and laughing endlessly about trivial things.

 Looking back...

I'm with my best friend, Len. Harvesting lettuce!

The girls! Mich, Angel, Moi, Len, and Sol.
Two girls were missing here, Netz and Arlene.

Pasyal-pasyal lang.

Headache, huh? Lol

The gang!

And the third time was when my  we did my best friend's prenup. The idea was from my friend Alex who suggested the picnic theme for the shoot. It was all because of his creativity that Len and Wyng achieved what they want for their prenup shoot. Staffs were so helpful and so supportive to us, they even let us stay late. Also, their butterflies were so cooperative. LOL.
Spread the love in Paradizoo!

Walang pilitang nangyari sa pagitan namin at ng paru-paru ha!

Ah, this really feel nostalgic! Indeed Paradizoo is the happiest place! This adventurer will definitely be back here this year!

KOMIKON 2012

Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the chance to attend the summer Komikon last May. Sayang kasi I was so excited and so prepared by that time. I even had in mind the stuff and comics that I would buy. But mumps strike and forbid me to go. :(

Luckily another Komikon! Yay! Sabi siguro kawawa naman ang mga hindi nakapunta bigyan natin ng chance. haha. I am happy but at the same time worried because sadly my budget this time was soooo limited that I end up drooling on those indi-comics for our last stop. Bakit kasi huli na namin na-discover ang indi-tiange. :( Di bale babawi na lang ulit ako next year! Despite that, this hoarder/misadventurer is too happy to share her passio for comics. If only kids these days still have the same passion and excitement when I saw comics lying around our house when I was littlle. Ah, how can I forget Funny Comics. :)

And of course, I'm with my fellow comics-fan Lenlen. We also met Melai there and Mommy Corne. Sayang lang walang table ang Cat's Trail this time. And oh, we met a cool guy/professor who creates this cute comics. Lenlen bought his works naki-share na lang ako sa pagbasa. Haha.

My Komikon experience is not complete without Superman.

Finally!

In love with their packaging!

Sabi nga ni Ate ma-i-i-stress ka sa dami ng free! Lol
I just bought the Salmon Komiks and those are free!

One True Love! <3

What I hoard!

'Til next Komikon, folks! :)

The Wonders of Pila, Laguna

For quite some time I lost the sole purpose of this blog but upon contemplating and rereading my blog's title I always find my way back, so here I am sharing another adventure. Which by the way happens months ago.

I've been to Laguna twice this year, first stop was at Pagsanjan and Liliw, then UP Los Banos and Pila, Laguna. But this adventure was I must say a memorable one, too. The only misadventure I encountered this time was that I didn't bring my toothbrush with me and just realized this when I'm about to sleep. LOL. Pila is one of the most peaceful town I've been through. Their town were surrounded with green rice fields and a lot of trees! Pila has its own charm, luring you to walk at its streets and appreciating these old houses which still boast its grandeur. Ah, how I miss the urban life! So let me share to you a bit about this adventure. :)

My friend Czeila invited me to stay in their house for more than two days. (Thank you again, Czei. You know how thankful I am, right? ^_^) The plan was to hike Mt. Makiling but unfortunately we chickened out as her friend who is an expert mountaineer warned us about the terrain. Plus the fact that there's only the two of us braving the hike. So we cancelled the plan and devise another one. The adventure: JOGGING! yay! We woke up, I mean, Czeila woke up earlier than we plan while on the other hand, this misadventurer have to literally slap herself to wake up. Waking up early is one of my waterloo. And so we braved the morning chill and headed at UP LB. And hey, the adventure begins! :)

At 6 in the morning! :)

According to Czeila this is the fertility tree! :)

old houses! I adore them so much!

Pila Church!

Thank you so much, Czei and Pobre Family for adopting me. And introducing me to the wonders of Pila.
Babalik ako para sa Makiling trek, promise!

It Is Indeed a Blessing! :)

Aside from papers I love books and yes, I do hoard them, too. You can see books lying around almost anywhere at our house. Most of them occupies a large amount of space at my worktable and it's getting to be an eye sore lately as I continue to hoard and hoard books. hahaha.I always plan on cleaning and arranging them but just like most of my plan it really stayed as plan. And as I enter our room (I shared room with my cousin) from an event, a really nice surprise just warms my heart. My books are all sorted out, clean and neatly arranged according to their length. Plus my table is sooooooo clean. I wanted to cry and hug them for doing the tedious chore for me. I can imagine the enormous task they've been through! Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3

see, it was neatly arranged. :)
the books at the back was also arranged in fashionly manner. LOL

So excited to work! <3

But the blessing did not end there. I was given a privilege to attend our company's cocktail event considering I haven't submitted a single manuscript since last month. Talk about being so prolific, huh? [in sarcastic voice] And look what my writer-buddy/friend Gypsy Esguerra gave me:

Cute little box!
Can you guess what's inside? :)
Ta-da! Hah, imagine how wide my smile is as she handed me this box! :) And can you guess what's inside? Paper? No. :) Books!!!!!

Lastly, we're booked to CDO (Cagayan de Oro) next year! I'm with my former officemates/friends, Rio and Alex. :) Thank you Cebu Pacific for offering piso fare. Thank you Alex for booking our trip!

Thank you so much Lord for showering me all of these blessings! :) Thank you for all of these people! Blessed their hearts and lives. :) Thank you for always reminding me that I am indeed Your precious and beloved daughter! :)

P.S. And just last night I watched The King And I at the Resorts World Manila. Also a blessing from a friend of mine, Alex. :)

Misadventurer's Take On Being A Bum

It's been nearly a month since I quit my work and so far I'm really enjoying it. LOL. So what's keeping me busy these past few days except bumming? Hmm, ano nga ba? I watched The Phantom of The Opera. Luckily, Mr. Photographer scored me and my friend a good orchestra seat. :) *Thank you, D.* I felt so blessed that despite of being a bum our Lord still want me to enjoy this little perks. I travel often. Haha. Ewan ko na din kung paano ako nakaka-survive sa pag-alis alis kong ito. And lastly being a full-time/hands on maid of honor. HAHAHA.

Misadventurer to Certified Bum. Whahaha

With my friend Alex watching The Phantom of the Opera.
Photo credits to Mr. Alex Dizon. :)

Trying to be busy. Photo was taken by my cousin.
Sabi niya nakakatuwa daw ang itsura ko, kaya she immediately grabbed my cam to take
a photo of me humilating myself. LOL
As I shared before, I quit my job to be a fulltime writer. And I'm proud to say that I as of this moment I haven't finish a single manuscript yet. hahaha. Who says that being a fulltime writer is easy? ^_^

nail-art! <3 smiley!

Watermelon! <3

If I don't succeed on producing a single manuscript within this month maybe I can shift career again. Manicurista naman! I'm getting good at this, I must say. haha

Obviously at UPLB. :) We jogged  talked from 5am til 8am I think. LOL

At UPLB

Despite the fact that I'm jobless God gave me a lot of opportunities to visit places like this. Also, He put kind-hearted people who willingly adopt me for three days and gave me tour in historical town of Pila. Thank you, Czei! You know how much I love you naman diba? Thanks to your family! I vowed that I'll be back at UPLB again.

My bestfriend's prenup outtake! <3 I made this banner! (proud paper hoarder)

taken by my ever reliable Sony digicam! :)
I spill out my bestfriend's secret to this blog and I think if ever she get to read this she will strangle me! haha. To give an excuse of being a bum, I am helping my bestfriend in her wedding preparation. We spend an enormous amount of time together since she quit her job, too. Dinners, souvenir hunting, gown hunting/fitting and all. And last Saturday we did her prenup shoot! Yihee! I admit I'm equally excited as the couple is. Originally, Mr. Photographer (D) was the one who will do their prenup but as a busy bee he is, he can't do it. So my another gifted/talented friend was to the rescue. An endless thank you, Alex! :) D, lend me his precious SLR to capture my bestfriend's precious moment. I'll post the prenup outtake/BTS soon. Thank you din, D.

And speaking of wedding, my sister is also planning hers. And that means I also have to help her. She works in Singapore and will only come home next year for her wedding/vacation na din. And being the loving sister that I am I volunteered myself to do the coordination. (i.e. Church inquiry, invites planning, reception, etc.) Maybe when it's my turn to walk down the aisle, wedding preparation would be as easy as 1, 2, 3. Haha!

Who wouldn't love being a bum, huh? ^_^
